The SA107 large hollow shaft gear unit is the biggest hollow-output frame in the SA range. It exists for drives where a base frame would cost more than the gearbox: the unit hangs on the driven shaft, the reaction is taken by a torque arm, and the machine needs no floor space at all. With a 107 mm centre distance and 42CrMo shafts, it covers heavy continuous duties that would otherwise force a much larger foot-mounted installation.

Give us the shaft diameter and the clamping method you intend to use, the ratio and the daily running hours. WGT confirms the service factor, returns a drawing that shows the reaction points, and quotes EXW or CIF. The SA107 is factory-tested before packing, carries a one-year warranty and ships from NINGBO or SHANGHAI in an export-grade wooden crate.
Gears are 20CrMnTi alloy steel, case-carburised to HRC58-62 over a tough HRC33-40 core. Input and output shafts are 42CrMo, quenched and tempered to HRC25-30. The housing is cast iron at HBS190-240.
Backlash is the small free rotation between input and output. We hold it within 20 arcmin - tight enough for indexing tables, positioning drives and reversing applications, without the cost of a precision servo gearbox.
Yes, the S series runs equally well in both directions. If the load must be held when the motor stops - an inclined conveyor, for example - specify the anti-run-back or self-locking option.

One gear set, many mountings. Pick the frame size for the torque you need, then pick the mounting style - foot-mounted solid shaft, hollow shaft, flange or torque arm - to suit your machine.
Take a 22 kW motor at 980 rpm driving a discharge screw at 14 rpm. The ratio follows directly: 980 / 14 = 70, so i=70 with the service factor covered. In this case the hollow bore carries the screw shaft and the torque arm absorbs the damp charge. It always comes down to those three figures.
